I love Chicken Quesadillas, I’ve tried so many versions before, but this time I tried a new version that’s so different from my previous ones. This Jerk Chicken Quesadilla turned out so delicious and filling too.

Chicken Quesadillas are a favorite in my home, my whole family loves them, and so do I! I especially enjoy them with some sauces or salsa. But making them with jerk seasoning is truly awesome and a must-try for anyone who loves Quesadillas with some unique flavors.

I used a simple jerk seasoning made with a mix of spices and mixed it with other herbs. The process for making this Jerk Chicken Quesadilla is the same as any regular Quesadilla, the only difference is the unique seasoning that makes it different but delicious of course.

Ingredients

  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons jerk seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • ½ cup diced bell peppers (optional)
  • ½ cup diced red onion (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons butter (for cooking)
  • Sour cream, guacamole, or salsa (for dipping)

How to Make Jerk Chicken Quesadilla?

Step 1:

Sprinkle the jerk seasoning on both sides of the chicken and rub it in gently to make sure it’s evenly coated.

Step 2:

Heat a little oil in a pan over medium heat. Cook the chicken for 6-8 minutes on each side. and, Let it cool for a few minutes, then cut it into small pieces.

Step 3:

In a bowl, mix the diced chicken with the shredded cheese. Add bell peppers and onions if you want extra crunch.

Step 4:

Lay a tortilla flat and spread some filling over one-half of it. Fold the other half over to close it, forming a half-moon shape.

Step 5:

Heat a pan with a little butter. Cook each quesadilla for 2-3 minutes on each side until the outside is crispy and of course, the cheese inside is melted well.

Step 6:

Cut the quesadilla into wedges and enjoy with sour cream, guacamole, or salsa for dipping.

Also, a zesty lime coleslaw works great for some extra crunch. and for drinks, Just a regular cup of tea is enough for me.
